Hope Ogas, 87, of Dimmitt passed away Thursday, March 14, 2019 in Hereford. Funeral services will be Monday, March 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with Pastor's Jose Carrasco and Ernest Rodriguez officiating, burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Family and friend visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Hope was born April 1, 1931 in Lasara, Texas to Rafael and Cecilia Ontiveros. Hope has been a resident of Dimmitt since 1970. She married Enrique Ogas in 1979. She was a cook and was very well known for her cooking. She started as a cook at the Bobcat Drive Inn then went to Dairy Queen, Pizza Hut and Mr. Burger. She was a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista of Dimmitt and was very active in her church. Hope was a very loving, gentle, caring, compassionate, hospitable, respectful Christian woman. She always welcomed people into her home with open arms. Appearance and first impressions were very important to Hope and she had a great sense of humor and was a very hard-worker. . Hope enjoyed gardening, cooking, and most of all she loved spending time with her family and she loved her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Enrique Ogas of Hereford; her children Janie Robles of Hereford, Cecilia Constancio and her husband Alfonso Vela of College City, CA., Julio Robles and his wife Maria Elena of Hayward, CA., Julia Garcia and her husband Raymond of Porterville, CA., Justice Robles and his wife Lori of Dade City, FL., Jesse Robles and his wife Maria of Hereford, TX., Johnny Robles and his wife Christina of Plainview, TX., Mr. and Mrs. Josie Robles Gonzales of Hayward, CA., Linda Aguero and her husband Crispin Marmolejo of Dimmitt, Daniel Mora and his wife Alice of Dimmitt; her step-children Jerry Ogas and his wife Patty of El Paso, Henry Ogas, Jr., and wife Rabiaas of Frisco, David Ogas of Lubbock and Irma Fuentes and her husband Jerry of Roy, Utah; five brothers Andres Ontiveros of Hereford, Melton Ontiveros of Lovell, Wyoming, Ediberto Ontiveros and his wife Blanca of Lovington, NM., Frank Ontiveros of Chicago, Illinois and Anastacio Ontiveros of Harlingen, TX., and one sister Felicita Tovar of Lovington, NM., three half-sister's Consuelo Turubiates, Maria Leyva and Cruz Navarro all of Lovington, NM., and two half-brother's Frank and Jesus Ontiveros both of Lovington, NM., and two step-brother's Guadalupe Monrial and Jose Pena of Lovington, NM., 47 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild

Hope is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Martina Anez and Eudelia Rodriguez and a brother Tomas Ontiveros.
