Ignacia "Nancy" Jurado, 66, of Canyon formerly of Dimmitt passed away on March 15, 2015 in Amarillo, Texas. Rosary will be Wednesday March 18, 2015 at 6:00PM at Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas with Deacon John Nino. Funeral Service will be at 10:00AM Thursday March 19, 2015 with Father Raj Arockie officiating at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt, Texas. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Nancy was born in Bula, Texas to Manuel Salas and Regina Adame Salas. She married Louis Jurado in December 1965. She then moved to Sunnyside in 1975 from Sudan. She worked at Allsup's in Dimmitt for 6 years. She moved to Canyon in 2009. Her hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren, reading and sewing. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, two sisters Audelia Salas and Estephana "Fannie" Sisneros. She is survived by two sons: Lewis Jurado and wife Mary Ann of Dimmitt, Richard Jurado and wife Michelle of Amarillo, three daughters: Teresa Jurado of Amarillo, Patricia Garcia and husband Jack of Lubbock, Melissa Mirelez and husband Armando of Amarillo. Three brothers: Lee Salas and wife Mary of Morton, Manuel Salas and wife Mary Lou of Niles, MI, Michael Salas of Littlefield, One sister: Refugia Morin of Amarillo, 5 grandchildren and one dear friend Petra Sauceda.
