India "Indi" Thomas, 39, of Lubbock formerly of Dimmitt passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 in Dallas. Indi was born April 4, 1972 to Roy, Jr. and Joyce Sanders Thomas in Hereford, Texas. She graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1991. She ran track, played basketball and played in the band. While a resident of Dimmitt she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she was baptized. She attended college at Odessa College for two years. She was a resident of Lubbock and was a member of Mt. Gilead Church in Lubbock, she had a very strong faith and loved the Lord. She was a proud mother of three, she attended all events and activities of her children. She was a stern big sister who was very dependable and who had a very brave heart and a fighter to the very end. She will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by her parents Roy and Joyce Thomas of Dimmitt; three children, Abria, Akura and Malik Thomas all of Lubbock. Two sisters, Kim Thomas of Lubbock and Poppy Thomas of San Antonio. Two nephews, Thomas Martinez and Isaiah Tillman both of Lubbock and several uncles, aunts and cousins.
