Irene D. Beliz, 50 of Lazbuddie, formerly of Dimmitt passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Muleshoe. Mass of Christian of Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Raj Arockia officiating, burial to follow at the Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary and vigil will be Friday evening at the funeral home at 6:00PM.

Irene was born January 25, 1966 in Dimmitt, Texas to George, Sr. and Estella (Leyva) Doñes. She has been a resident of Lazbuddie for sixteen years. She married Joe Beliz in 1979. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very strong woman and a fighter to the end. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren and she enjoyed picking on her sons-in-laws. She was always checking in with her children just to hear their voices and to hear that they were okay.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Beliz of Lazbuddie (Parmer County), three daughters, Betty Oltivero and her husband Javier, Mari Aguilar and her husband Isaac all of Dimmitt and Laura Beliz of Lazbuddie and one son, Jose Beliz and his wife Amy of Lazbuddie; six brothers, David Doñes of Mexico, Raul Doñes and his wife Obelia of Dumas, Raymond Doñes and his wife Susie of Dimmitt, Johnny Rodriguez of Amarillo, Domingo Doñes and Lee Doñes both of Austin, seven grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Danny "Holmes" Doñes, George Doñes and a nephew, Sgt. Jacob "J.J." Doñes
