Isidro Zarazua, Sr. 88, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020 in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 2:00PM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Isidro Zarazua was born on May 15, 1931 in Calvert, Texas to Juan Zarazua and Rosa (Guajardo) Zarazua. Isidro lived in Lazbuddie, Texas before moving to Dimmitt where he remained a longtime resident. Isidro worked as a truck driver for John Deere in Dimmitt before he began farming. He farmed for many years up until his health would not allow him to continue. He enjoyed working in his yard, picking up scrap metal and hauling it to Hereford to sell what he had gathered and working on his truck when he had the time and was always known for drinking his Dr. Peppers. He was a member of the Restored Christian Fellowship Church in Dimmitt and was always eager to attend whenever possible. Most importantly, Isidro will be remembered for loving his family and being able to spend as much time as possible with them.
Isidro is survived by his daughter, Martha Ramos and husband David of Dimmitt, 5 brothers, Thomas Zarazua and wife Eva, Felix Zarazua, Leonard Zarazua, Juan Zarazua and Valentine Zarazua all of Lubbock, 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Isidro is preceded in death by his wife, Eustacia Zarazua, 2 sons, Isidro Zarazua, Jr. and Carlos Zarazua, and 2 brothers, Joe Zarazua and Cruz Zarazua.
