Jacinta "Jackie" Ramos, 71, of Dimmitt passed away on Oct. 18, 2011 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30AM in the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Arthur Rodriguez and Rev. Ken Keller as celebrants. Burial will follow in the Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM Wednesday with Vigil Services following in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Jackie was born in Bertram, Texas to Juan and Alfonsa Acevedo on September 11, 1940. She was a longtime resident of the Dimmitt community. She worked as a caregiver for many years and worked for Richard Elementary School. She loved to bake and she catered for special occasions. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church. She will most be remembered as being a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by 2 sons, Raul Ramos Jr. of Amarillo, and John Paul Ramos of Dimmitt, 2 daughters, Rita Ramos Sepeda and Patsy Ramos both of Dimmitt, 1 brother, Henry Acevedo of Georgetown, 1 sister, Esther Mireles of Georgetown. 7 Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raul Ramos Sr. and 1 brother Erasmo Acevedo.
