Jackie Thomas, 43, of Dimmitt, passed away, Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Dimmitt. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Sullivan and Rev. Bobby Campbell officiating, burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Family and friend visitation will be Monday evening from 6:-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Jackie was born June 18, 1972 in Dimmitt to Gerald and Alene Thomas. He graduated from DHS in 1991 and attended TSTC in Waco and later married Pamela Anglin on June 2, 2001. He worked for Dimmitt Equipment and worked for his dad for 18 years at Sonny's Irrigation and Tractor Repair. He enjoyed his work and enjoyed visiting with the farmers he encountered on an everyday basis. He never met a stranger. He was a volunteer fireman for the Dimmitt Volunteer Fire Department for many years; he enjoyed wood working, watching sports, fishing with his kids and brothers, spending time and horsing around with his niece and nephews. Watching races, Route 66 and he really enjoyed watching Ben Scott, Jr. race, but above all this he loved his wife and his children and thought the world of them.

He is survived by his wife Pam Thomas, a son Devon Thomas and a daughter Kirsten Thomas all of Dimmitt; his parents Gerald (Sonny) and Alene Thomas of Dimmitt; 2 brothers Jerry Thomas of Dimmitt and Jimmy Thomas of Wellington; 3 uncles Johnnie Beavers of Plainview; Lloyd Thomas and wife Sandra of Hereford and Charles Thomas and LaDonna of Elk City, OK.; 1 Aunt Juana Lou Pippins of Joplin, Missouri; a niece Carle Kemp of Wellington, 3 nephews, Dustin Thomas of Canyon, Curtis Thomas of Dimmitt and Mitchell Thomas of Wellington; one great nephew and three great nieces and several cousins

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Heavy and Opal Thomas and Curtis and Nita Beavers, one Uncle Michael Thomas and a nephew Michael George.
