James Lee Burnam, 97, of Canyon passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 in Canyon. James was born February 3, 1917 in Dimmitt, Texas to Bill and Fannie Sullivan. James was a lifelong resident of Dimmitt, he farmed, he was Real Estate Agent, and he enjoyed flying his own plane all over the country. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dimmitt. His hobbies included garage sales, flying, pitching washers and playing cards. James serviced in the US Army from 1943 to 1945. James is survived by a two nieces Eileen Burnam of Amarillo, and Pat Beiner of Hereford and a nephew Bill Burnam of Hereford. James is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred Burnam, two brothers Bill Burnam and Carl Burnam, two sisters Velma Woodburn and Frankie Norwood and a nephew Carroll Burnam.
