James Lee Fleeks, 73, of Dimmitt, Texas went to be with the Lord on February 10, 2024.  He was born on November 12, 1950, in Newlin, Texas to Joe Fleeks and Mary (Boyd) Fleeks.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 3:30PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Wade officiating.  Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 3:00PM – 5:00PM at the funeral home.
James graduated from Memphis High School in 1969 and was a truck driver for over 45 years and worked for Merrick Pet Care, Inc. for 11 ½ years before completely retiring.  He was a devoted Baptist.  James moved his family from Crosbyton, Texas to Dimmitt, Texas 35 years ago.  He married the love of his life, Lois Williams 42 years ago.  James loved his family very dearly.  James knew everyone and never met a stranger.
James leaves behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Lois Fleeks of Dimmitt, TX, five children, La Tricia Fleeks Hill of California, Gary Howard Fleeks of Texarkana, AR, Billy Terrell, Demetrius Fleek and wife Gracie, Ashley Child and husband Patrick all of Amarillo, TX, nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, two brothers, Clarence Sims, Mariland Simms and wife Daisy of Amarillo, TX, two sisters, Lena Darling and Ann Fleeks of Amarillo, TX, mother-in-law, Delorse Williams of Lubbock, TX, three brothers-in-law, Willie Williams of Tyler, TX, Paul Williams of Columbus, GA, and Otis Williams of Lubbock, TX, four sisters-in-law, Martha Williams of San Antonio, TX, Annie Williams, Donna Williams, and Shirley Williams and husband Charles all of Lubbock, TX, uncle, Abe Fleeks of Dallas, TX along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins and many friends.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Fleeks and a host of aunts and uncles.
