Janice Shelton, 70, of Dimmitt, TX passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2014 in Dimmitt. Funeral service will be held on Monday at 2:00PM in the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt with Rev. T.C. Broom officiating. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Janice was born in Dimmitt, TX to H.C. Nelson and Gail Ladd Nelson on March 30, 1944. She grew up in Dimmitt and graduated from Dimmitt High School. She married Donald Shelton on May 31, 1969 where she enjoyed taking care of her family and being a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Donald Shelton, 1 son, Kyle and wife Judy of Amarillo, step-grandson, Brett of Cape Cod, Mass., step-granddaughter, Shayna of Dalhart, ad a step great-granddaughter of, Cadence of Dalhart, 2 brothers, Norman Nelson and wife Sandra, and Stanley Nelson and wife Cathy all of Dimmitt, sister-in-law, Louise Nelson pf Bryan, and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
