Jayton Moroney, 14, of Nazareth, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Nazareth. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 2:00PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Bhaskar Adusupalli, Deacon Bob Birkenfeld and Deacon Joe Hochstein as celebrants. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Vigil Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 6:00PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church.
Jayton Moroney was born December 24, 2005 in Amarillo, Texas to Jerrett and Tanya (Leibel) Moroney. He was a lifelong resident of Nazareth and attended Nazareth Independent School District. Jayton played all sports including football, basketball, track and cross country. He enjoyed playing video games and any outdoor activities that had anything to do with a ball. He also enjoyed playing video games and was known for eating an abundance of cereal. Jayton chose to come into this world six weeks early, and was chosen to leave this world a little too early. Jayton will always be remembered by his kind heart and smiling face.
Those left to cherish Jayton's memories are his parents, Jerrett and Tanya Moroney, of Nazareth, 1 brother, Jacob Moroney of Canyon, 1 sister, Kylee Moroney of Nazareth, grandparents, Glen Hamlin and Debi Adams of Amarillo, John and Deborah Moroney of Kingsland, Texas and Tony and Cathy Leibel of Hart, aunt, Amy Key of Coleman, aunt and uncle, Samantha and Tyrel Hamlin of Bushland, cousins, Jocelyn Key, Emrie and Tanden Hamiln along with numerous great aunts and uncles.
