Jean Tate Gilmore, 78, previously of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020 in Dimmitt, Texas. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Jean was born June 28, 1941 in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania to Richard Irvin and Ethel Harriet (Gentzel) Tate. She married Thomas Gilmore on June 26, 1960 in Pennsylvania. Jean worked as a bookkeeper for many different companies including Custom Casting NE. INC. She was a very proud grandmother and loved her family; she also loved to talk on the phone with her loved ones. She was a very spiritual women and a "devoted friend" to all of her friends.
Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Sherri Bruss of Boalsburg, PA; and three grandchildren, Allen Bruss, Jr. and wife Colleen of Snow Shoe, PA, Thomas Bruss and wife Shannon of Beech Creek, PA, and Jessi Bruss and husband Martin of Dimmitt, TX. 10 Great Grandchildren, Josiah Rodriguez, Martin Rodriguez, Jr. Hailey Bruss, Lexi Bruss, Noah Rodriguez, Gracie Bruss, Patti Bruss, Jack Bruss, Averee Rodriguez, and Colt Rodriguez. Her sisters Joan Shawver and husband Bob of Centre Hall, PA, Connie Saluter and husband Phil of Venice, FL.
She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Gilmore, one son Brady Gilmore, her parents, one brother Eugene Tate and two sisters Irene Garbrick and Inez Pecht.
