Jeffery Gene Adams, son of David Gene Adams and Joann (Wilson) Adams, was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky on November 2, 1959, and departed this life March 17, 2023, in Abernathy, Texas, at the age of sixty-three years.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at 3:00PM at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel in Dimmitt, Texas with Dr. Jonathan Sullivan of First Baptist Church officiating.  Funeral arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral of Dimmitt. The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, March 23, 2023, beginning at 2:00PM.
Jeff grew up in Ohio and then served in the United States Navy for three years after high school graduation. He then moved to Lubbock along with his brother and began working at Texas Instruments for several years. Later he worked for W&W Steel and Atterbury Grain up until his retirement. One of his favorite hobbies was watching horror movies. He also enjoyed going camping and fishing while also tinkering with small motors. But above all else he loved to spend time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Jarrod Adams of San Diego, CA, brothers, Greg Adams and wife Jill of Dayton, OH and D.D. Adams of Dayton, OH, sister, Debbie Laux of Greenville, OH, step-daughters, Marsha Acevedo and husband Michael of Abernathy, Kristin Davis and husband Buddy of Round Rock and Jessica Talamantez and husband Robert of Amarillo, step-son, Toby Wimberley and wife Shelby of Lubbock, seventeen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and the beloved dog, Peanut.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Linda Adams.
