Jerry Lange, 73, of Nazareth passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth, Texas at 10:30 AM with Rev. Ken Keller and Deacon Bob Birkenfeld officiating, burial to follow at Holy Family Cemetery in Nazareth. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary and prayer service will be Tuesday evening at the church at 7:00 PM

Jerry was born in Dimmitt, Texas on January 5, 1943 to Joseph and Dorothy (Bates) Lange, he was a lifelong resident of Castro County, he served two years in the United States Army. He married Judy Fetsch Lange in 1968 in Hereford, Texas. He worked for American Fructose for twenty-five years. For twenty-seven years after work he took care of the grounds for the Holy Family Catholic Church; and for fifteen years he worked for the City of Nazareth. For forty years he enjoyed servicing small engines for his friends, family and neighbors. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of Nazareth, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. His hobbies were guns but most of all he loved helping and servicing his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Judy Lange of Nazareth; four sons Calvin and his wife Sarah of Krum, Kenneth and his wife Carol of Aurora, CO., Steven and his wife Sheila of Borger and Mark and his wife Rachel of Weimar; two daughters Vicky Coile and her husband Wes of Happy and Susan Lange of Amarillo; three sisters Mary Lou Birkenfeld and her husband JoeLynn of Nazareth, Grace Chism and her husband Bob and Veronica Brown all of Amarillo; two brothers Tom Lange and his wife Tricia of Amarillo and Bill Lange and his wife Tammye of Gainesville; ten grandchildren Jordan, Dakota, Johanna, Danielle and Addie Lange, Dalton Jordan, Kaitlyn and Emily Coile, and Mykala and Alex Boyles; two great grandchildren Hayden and Beckham Jordan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Joan Harbison and a brother-in-law Stephen Brown .
