Jesus Ramiro Fuentes, 84, of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life Services will be on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Abundant Life Family Church with Pastor Tom Mullins and Forrest Harmell officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas.

Jesus was born on October 14, 1939, in Brownsville, Texas, to Genaro and Trinidad (Esparza) Fuentes. Jesus has been a resident of Dimmitt since 1961. He married Concepcion "Concha" Guerra in 1960 and together they built a beautiful family. Concha passed away in 1999.  He was employed with Dimmitt Coop for many years, beginning as a sweeper of grain, and working his way up to supervisor before his retirement. He met Estella Lopez in 1999 and they have been together since. Jesus enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening his fruit trees and strawberry patches in his younger days. His true enjoyment and love in life were his dog "Chiquita" and his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Estella Lopez of Dimmitt, Texas; his children, Albert Fuentes and his wife Veronica of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Connie Fuentes of Dimmitt, Texas; his step-children, Johnny Lopez and his wife Lupe Gonzales of Amarillo, Texas, Lupe Lopez of Dimmitt, Texas, and Daniel Lopez and his wife Lori of Dimmitt, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 12 step-grandchildren; his brother, Guadalupe Esparza and his wife Sylvia of Brownsville, Texas, and his sister, Maria Ramirez of Brownsville, Texas.

Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, his wife mother of his children, Concepcion "Concha" Fuentes, a daughter, Maria de la Rosa Fuentes, and a son, Genaro Ramiro Fuentes.
