Jesus "Chuey" Oltivero, 58, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on February 15, 2018 in Amarillo, Texas.  Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM in the Abundant Life Family Church with Pastor Tom Mullins officiating.  Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the Abundant Life Family Church located at 500 S. Hwy 385, Dimmitt, Texas 79027.

Jesus Oltivero was born on June 12, 1959 in Dimmitt, Texas to Juan Oltivero and Maria (Barbosa) Oltivero.  Jesus grew up in Dimmitt and worked for the Texas Highway Department for many years.  He married Many Oltivero on November 29, 1989.  He was a faithful member of the Abundant Life Family Church.  Jesus loved the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed fishing, hunting, telling jokes giving people nicknames but most importantly he loved his family and spending quality time with them.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Mandy Oltivero of Dimmitt, 6 children, Priscilla Arguijo of Dimmitt, Juan Jesus Oltivero of Pearsall, Barbara Valdez and husband Gilbert of Marble Falls, Jeremy Oltivero and wife Dolly of Pleasanton, John Michael Oltivero of Clovis and Marissa Oltivero of Dimmitt, 1 brother, Estevan Oltivero and wife Teresa of Dimmitt, 1 sister, Lupe Zuniga of Weslaco, 17 grandchildren.

Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, J.J. Barrios, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
