Jody Snitker, 64, of Hart, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in Hart surrounded by his family.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, at 5:00PM at Enoch's Cemetery with Pastor Trent Tenario officiating. Funeral Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00PM – 3:00PM at the funeral home prior to the graveside service.
Jody Snitker was born on September 6, 1958, in Muleshoe, Texas to Curtis Eugene Snitker and Gwendolyn (Jennings) Snitker. Jody grew up in Hart, Texas and graduated from Hart High School in 1977. After graduation, Jody worked as a farmer, truck driver and airplane mechanic. Later, he began working as a rural route mail carrier up until his sickness. Jody married Donya (Tuttle) Snitker in 1983 in Dimmitt. Jody loved to fish, watch western movies, read and playing his guitar. But most of all he loved to spend time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Hart and was a faithful servant to the Lord.
Jody is survived by his children, Heather Snitker of Dimmitt, TX, and Caleb Snitker and wife Nan of Hart, TX, grandchildren, Toy, Timber, Tad, Aubrey, Rylan and Ethan, brother, Glen Snitker and wife Diane of Georgetown, TX and sister, Melissa Nolte and husband Franklin of Dumas, TX.
Jody is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Donya Snitker.
