Johnny G. Flores, 71, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away at home on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 12:00PM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Nino and Richard Martinez as celebrants. Viewing of the body will begin a 10:00AM with vigil service to follow at 11:00AM on Monday, December 20, 2021 at the church. Local arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.
Juan "Johnny" G. Flores was born on July 29, 1950 in Seadrift, Texas to Antonio Flores and Victoria (Garcia) Flores. Johnny was a longtime truck driver who traveled many miles. Johnny married Rosa (Martinez) Flores on September 7, 1968 in Dimmitt and were married for over 53 years. Johnny was a God-fearing man who loved the Lord and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt. He will be remembered by his love for making people laugh, his love for listening to music, cooking out with family and friends and his positive outlook on life. But most of all he loved his family dearly and loved spending time with them.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Flores of Dimmitt, 5 children, Johnny Flores and wife Evaline of San Antonio, Lannette Espino of San Antonio, Annette Martinez of Seguin, Amy Gonzales and husband Josh of San Antonio and Joshua Flores of San Antonio, 4 brothers, Antonio Flores, Rudy Flores, James Flores, and Joe Lee Flores, 3 sisters, Elvira Mesza, Victoria Torres, and Emilia Driscoll along with 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, Frank Flores, Sam Flores, Albert Flores, Basilio Flores and Joe Flores and 1 son-in-law, Guillermo Glenn Espino.
