Johnny Gonzales, 58, of Dimmitt Texas, passed away on January 23, 2023 after several health complications.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady and Deacon John Nino as celebrants. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 5:00PM at the church with vigil services to follow.

Johnny was born on November 6, 1964, to Pedro and Elida Gonzales in Dimmitt, Texas. After graduating from Dimmitt High School in 1983, he went on to work various jobs in the agricultural industry.

In 1991, Johnny married his now former spouse Lori Nino. They had two children, John David and Kryselda Gonzales. He was the grandfather of three beautiful children, James, Easton, and Nora Gonzales.

Johnny was passionate about supporting his children, especially through their endeavors in sports. He was his son's first coach and number one fan. His love of sports spilled over into the lives of his grandchildren. He could often be found teaching his grandsons how to play ball or cheering them on from the sidelines.

Anyone who knew Johnny knew that he was the most loving father, grandfather, and brother a family could ask for. Johnny was preceded by his father Pedro Antonio Gonzalez. He was survived by his mother Elida Gonzales, son John David Gonzales and wife Shelby, daughter Kryselda Gonzales, grandsons James and Easton Gonzales, granddaughter Nora Gonzales, brother Tony Gonzalez and wife Victoria, sisters Olga Puente and husband Sam, Pat Flores, Norma Sierra and husband Joe, Delia Castellano and husband Tony, Delicia Hill, Amanda Gonzales-Romo and husband Ric, Elida Gonzales, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
