Jorge Martinez Sr. 64, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 5:00PM at the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon John Nino officiating.  Funeral and Cremation Services are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Jorge Martinez Sr was born on September 20, 1958, in Camargo, Chihuahua Mexico to Jose Martinez and Reyes Delgado Flores.  Jorge grew up in Mexico and graduated high school and then attended college to become an architect while also serving in the Mexican Armed Forces.  He later moved to the United States and married Martha Zambrano in 1985 in Dimmitt.   Jorge has worked in the grain industry for many years and was currently employed with Hereford Grain   Jorge was a family man and his family was most important to him.

Jorge is survived by his wife, Martha Martinez of Dimmitt, 2 sons, Jorge Martinez Jr, of Lubbock and Scott Martinez of Amarillo, 1 brother, Felipe Fernando Flores of Mexico, 2 sisters, Patricia Martinez and Veronica Martinez both of Mexico along with 4 grandchildren.

Jorge is preceded in death by his daughter, Monica Lumbrera.
