Jose Refugio Esqueda, 93, of Dimmitt, TX, died Tuesday, June 07, 2016 in Dimmitt, TX. Rosary and Prayer Vigil will be recited at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Deacon Paul Herrera, officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Reverend Raj Arockia, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Jose Refugio Esqueda was born July 4, 1922 in Belen del Refugio, Jalisco, Mexico, to Juan and Isabel (Lopez) Esqueda. He married Juanita Garcia on February 14, 1945 in Belen del Refugio, Jalisco, Mexico. Jose had been employed as a farm laborer in different states. Jose moved to Dimmitt from California on November 2015. He loved to work in his yard, everything from watering to mowing. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents: Juan and Isabel Esqueda, a son: Jose Esqueda, 2 daughters: Benita Esqueda and Epifania Esqueda, a brother: Jesus Esqueda and 2 sisters: Jeronima Esqueda and Margarita Esqueda.
