Juan Castillo Sr., of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, in Dimmitt at the age of 51 years.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 2:30PM at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Valentine Martinez of Living Faith Christian Church officiating.  Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Juan Castillo Sr. was born on September 9, 1971, in Dimmitt to Carlos Castillo Sr. and Juanita (Campos) Castillo.  Juan grew up in Dimmitt and attended Dimmitt schools.  He began farming and was a longtime farmer in Castro County.  Juan will be remembered as being a jokester who was always making people laugh, willingness to help in anyway, gardening, watching movies and spending time at his sisters (San Juanita's) house.

Those left to cherish his memories are his three children, Juan Castillo Jr., of Dimmitt, Isabel Castillo of Dimmitt, and Paul Ray Castillo of San Antonio, mother, Juanita Castillo of Dimmitt, three brothers, Ricardo Castillo of Hereford, David Castillo of Horseshoe Bay, and Caesar Castillo of Weatherford, six sisters, Nora Ojeda of Horseshoe Bay, Carmen Oltivero of Hereford, Carlota Castillo of Amarillo, Trini Castillo of Buckeye, AZ, Nati Molina of Plainview, and San Juanita Peralta of Dimmitt, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Juan is preceded in death by his father, Carlos Castillo Sr., daughter, Vanessa Castillo, brothers, Daniel Castillo and Carlos Castillo Jr., and grandfather, Juan Campos.
