Juan Vargas, 49, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Dimmitt, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 10:30AM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Abel Vargas officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Viewing will be held on Monday, May 4, 2020 from 1:00PM – 5:00PM at the funeral home.
Because of Covid-19, we are mandated by the federal and local authorities to limit the crowd to 25% of our occupancy at the funeral home. Juan Jose Vargas was born on February 16, 1971 in Hereford, Texas to Ascencion Vargas Sr. and Sandy (Gonzales) Vargas. Juan grew up in Dimmitt and attended Dimmitt schools. Juan had a deep passion for music and was one who always loved to talk to everyone. Juan will be best remembered by being a most loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Maria Vargas of Dimmitt, daughter, Abigail Vargas and son, Joshua Vargas both of Dimmitt, mother, Sandy Vargas of Dimmitt, 3 brothers, Ascencion Vargas Jr. of Dimmitt, David Vargas of Dimmitt and Eddie Vargas of Chicago and 1 granddaughter, Serenity Castro.
Juan is preceded in death by his father, Ascencion Vargas Sr.
