With hearts full of love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beautiful momma, Karen Zoan Casas, who went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2026, at the age of 84. While our hearts are broken, we are forever grateful for the incredible blessing of having her as our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, and the heart of our family.
Born on October 4, 1942, in Bentonville, Arkansas, to Harold Morris and Helen Lehno Oakley Morris, she lived a life filled with love for her family and appreciation for life's simplest pleasures.
To know our momma was to know a love that was truly special. She was an incredible mother whose love will forever be woven into the lives of her children and the generations that followed. She was so much more than a mother to us. She was our comfort, our home, and a love we can never replace. No matter how old we became, she would always be our momma, and we would always be her children.
Some of our most treasured memories are found in the little things that made her who she was. Karen loved spending time with her family, especially during family gatherings like weddings, birthdays, and reunions where she loved to dance. She also enjoyed going shopping and sitting in her favorite chair, looking out the window while enjoying a cup of coffee. She had a special love for Rice Krispies Treats, Junior Mints, and her Diet Dr Pepper. And, of course, she loved caring for her cats, who held a special place in her heart.
It is these simple, beautiful moments that we will miss the most. We will miss seeing her in her chair, sharing conversations, hearing her voice, and simply knowing she was there. The things that once seemed so ordinary have now become some of our most extraordinary memories.
Karen was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Roxanne Casas.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Raul Casas Sr.; her sons, Raul Casas Jr. and his wife, Beth Casas, and Harold Casas Sr.; and her daughters, Donna Kay Montes and Danny Montes, Karen Casas Richard and her husband, Brian Scott Richard, and Stacey Casas Sierra and her husband, Tony Sierra.
Her beautiful legacy also lives on through her 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, each a precious part of the family she loved so dearly.
Although we wish we could have just one more conversation, one more hug, one more cup of coffee together, or one more opportunity to tell her how much we love her, we find comfort in knowing that the love she gave us will never leave us.
Our momma's life was not measured by grand accomplishments or material things, but by the love she gave, the family she helped build, and the memories that will remain in our hearts forever. Her presence was a gift, and her absence will be felt in countless ways.
Momma, thank you for loving us, for being ours, and for giving us a lifetime of memories that we will hold close until we meet again. We will miss you more than words could ever express. Our family will never be quite the same without you, but we will carry your love with us in everything we do.
Rest peacefully, our sweet momma. We love you always and forever.
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” — Revelation 21:4 (KJV)
