Kathy Lynn Davis, 64, of Dimmitt, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 in Dimmitt. Memorial services will be Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt with Rev. Tom Mullins and Rev. Jonathan Sullivan officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Kathy was born January 7, 1950 in Hereford, Texas to Elwyn and Opal Hutcheson. She graduated from Hereford High School in 1968. She married James Davis June 14, 1969. She has been a resident of Dimmitt since 1983, she was employed for Parson's and Thriftway. She loved crafts and wood-working. She was a caregiver for her husband during his illness for five years. She had a love for life. She is survived by her daughter Tiffany Davis of Dimmitt, a sister Carolyn Hutcheson of Hereford, 2 nieces Vicki Wakely of Lombard, Illinois and Lacy Hutcheson of Bedford, Texas, a nephew Matt Wakely, a sister-in-law Violet Hutcheson and two great nephews Adam and Ryan Wakely all of Lombard, Illinois and a good friend Matt Davis of Dimmitt. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Davis, 2 brothers Karl and Gene Hutcheson and a sister Marchetta Hutcheson.
