Leonardo P. Vera Leonardo P. Vera, 72, of Dimmitt passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in Lubbock, Texas. Leonardo was born on November 14, 1940 in Pleasanton, Texas to Albert and Ynez Vera. He married Maria Martinez on May 23, 1961 in Brownfield, Texas. . Leonardo had played for a semi pro baseball team, and loved to watch the Texas Rangers. He was employed as a diesel mechanic for Braafladt Trucking for many years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Dimmitt, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents.
