Lidia "Mami"" Rodriguez, 74, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in Dimmitt, Texas.  Rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:00 P.M. in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Saturday, May 27, 2017 in the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Raj Arockia as celebrant.  Burial will be in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home.

Lidia was born on January 18, 1943 in Chihuahua Mexico to Francisco Hernandez and Elena (Rayos) Hernandez.  She has lived in the Dimmitt community for 42 years.  Lidia married Lorenzo Rodriguez in 1959.  She enjoyed spending time with family and taking care of her grandchildren.  She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Lidia is survived by her husband Lorenzo Rodriguez, 4 sons, Raul Rodriguez and wife Lisa, Roger Rodriguez, Jerry Rodriguez and Ricky Rodriguez and wife Jessica, 4 daughters, Bertha Martinez and husband Rudy, Olga Rodriguez, Susan Garcia and husband Ray, and Elsa Marquez and Catarino Adame, 4 brothers, Jesus Hernandez and wife Rosie, Antonio Hernandez and wife Yolanda, Luis Hernandez and Lupe Hernandez, 30 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Lidia is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Francisco Hernandez, Valentin Hernandez, Lazaro Hernandez and Augustine Hernandez and 1 sister, Maria Elena Dozal.
