Lidia Sanchez, Jr. 55, of Amarillo, Texas passed away on September 6, 2020 in Dimmitt, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church with Father Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants.  Burial will follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dimmitt, Texas with funeral arrangements under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.

Due to COVID-19 all attendees will be required to wear a mask throughout the service.

A  Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home.

Lidia Sanchez, Jr. was born on April 4, 1965, in Lamesa, TX. She was 55 years old. She grew up in Dimmitt. Lidia married George Lopez in 1983 and moved to Amarillo. They lived in Amarillo for 20 years. Lidia held various different jobs, which included Long John Silver, The Olive Garden, Tyson Foods and Home Health Care. Lidia and George were divorced in 2000. Lidia found loved again in 2004 and married Jonathan Caylor from Amarillo, Texas

Lida was a proud mother of 2 boys, Andy and James Caylor, whom were her pride and joy. Lidia enjoyed listening to music, dancing and singing along to her favorite music. And she loved hanging out with her family and friends.  But her most favorite pastime was spending time with her "big, beautiful family," as she always said. Lidia had a beautiful soul and loved being social. She knew no strangers. She treated everyone with love and kindness. She was always full of laughter, kind words and love. She showered everyone with love, hugs and kisses. Anyone who knew Lidia was lucky to have her as a friend, or relative. She was indeed a rare treasure. We were all blessed to have her in our lives. Her beautiful soul shall live on forever in our hearts, memories, thoughts and dreams.

Survivors include her husband Jonathan Caylor, her son Andy age 15 and her son James age 13, her step daughter Jessie Caylor, Lidia also had many surviving siblings, which included 6 sisters, Eva Sanchez and family of Amarillo, Adela Gil and family of Dimmitt, Diana Ojeda and family of Plainview, Martha Galvan and Mary Galvan and family, both of Hereford, and Georgia Perez and family of Friona. Her brothers include Jose Sanchez and family of Smyer, Rudy Sanchez of San Antonio, Javier Sanchez and family of Amarillo and Midland, and Fermin Sanchez of Dimmitt.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Lydia Sanchez of Dimmitt, 1 sister Linda Rodriguez of Hereford and 1 brother Rogelio Sanchez of Lamesa.
