Lillie Lee Nance's Obituary
Lillie Lee Nance, 96, of Pueblo, Colorado departed this life on Monday, January 7, 2019. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 2:00PM – 4:00PM with graveside services following in Hart Cemetery. The family has entrusted Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt with arrangements during this time.
Lillie Lee (Fisher) Nance was born on February 16, 1923 in Florence, Texas to George and Ida Fisher. She attended public school in Florence and professed her faith in Christ at an early age. Lillie had many interests which included crocheting and making at least 2 quilts per year. In her pastime, she loved writing letters to her relatives. She also raised 7 children teaching them how to cook and sew. She was outgoing, friendly and always very cheerful; very active in her church until she moved from Texas to Colorado due to health issues.
Lillie is survived by her daughter and 2 sons, 21 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ida Fisher, spouse of 56 years, Marcellus Nance, daughters, Barbara Watson, Helen Foster and Ida Mae Randal, son Jimmy Nance, in addition to 12 brothers and sisters.
A special acknowledgement goes out to her grandchildren, Greg Molden (Liz), Phaedra Russel (Kevin) and Ken Nance who have supported us throughout this journey over the last 4 years.
Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair; perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say, perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so very much… whatever the part.
