Linda Grand, 69, a longtime resident of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in Plainview, Texas. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held for Linda and her mother, Rosa "Meme" Hood, on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 10:30 AM at the 4th and Bedford Church of Christ of Dimmitt, Texas. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas.

Linda was born on April 26, 1953, in Littlefield, Texas, to Loyd C. and Rosa Lee (Jackson) Hood. Linda has been a resident of Dimmitt, Texas, since 1974. She married the love of her life Gary Grand on March 22, 1974, in Littlefield, Texas. Linda was the secretary with Farm Bureau Insurance in Dimmitt for over 15 years. Linda was raised in the Church of Christ but eventually converted to Baptist and became a member of the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt, Texas. She was a past member of the Eastern Star and a worthy matron. She enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, and making scrubbies for several in the community; she had a fondness for listening to audiobooks, singing with her beautiful voice in the church choir, and she so loved spending quality time with her family and her fur babies, whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. Linda was very involved in the community of Dimmitt and loved the kids; she kept official basketball and volleyball scorebooks for Dimmitt ISD for several years and took game fee entries at the gate. She was active in the Relay for Life since she was a cancer survivor and had recently in the last few years been associated with the Fair Board Association recruiting vendors and arranging the "Cow Pattie Bingo". Her presence, beautiful smile, and laughter will be dearly missed by many.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Gary Grand, and her daughter, Tara Grand, both of Dimmitt, Texas, and numerous cousins.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Tracy Grand, and her brother, Tommy Hood.
