Lino Perez, 64, of Dimmitt, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 17, 2017 in Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church at 10:00AM with Rev. Raj Arockia and Deacon John Nino as co-celebrants with services being under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home.  Rosary will be recited at 6:00PM on Sunday, July 16, 2017 in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.

Lino Perez was born on September 6, 1952 in Brownsville, Texas to the late David Perez, Sr. and Santos (Guerra) Perez.  Lino graduated from Dimmitt High School and then worked as a night auditor in the hotel industry.  Lino was an avid Dimmitt Bobcat and Dallas Cowboy fan all his life.  Throughout the years, he enjoyed travelling to the valley and spending time with family, cooking out, and telling jokes while always giving everyone a nickname.  But most importantly, Lino loved his family and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.

Lino is survived by 1 son, Edgar Perez of Dimmitt, daughter, Erica Perez of Dallas, step-daughter, Maria Meza of Dimmitt, brothers, Daniel Perez and wife Susan of Lubbock, Luis Perez of Amarillo, Elias Perez and wife Susan of Willis, Charlie Perez of Amarillo, Jose Perez and wife Blanca of Harlingen, George Perez and wife Susana of Rio Hondo and Joe Perez of Amarillo, sisters, Sylvia Guerra and husband Cesar of Amarillo, Delia Perez of Lubbock and Priscilla Perez of Shallowater, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.

Lino was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother, David Perez Jr.
