Lisa Penney, 49, of Dimmitt passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be Friday, October 4, 2013 at the 4th and Bedford Church of Christ in Dimmitt at 10:30 AM with Mr. James Jones, Pastors' Tom Mullins and Junior Limas officiating with burial to follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 -8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Lisa was born January 12, 1964 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Paul and Janet (Kennard) Weaver. She graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1982. She married the love of her life Gene Penney on July 18, 1981 in Dimmitt. She has been a resident of Dimmitt since the age of 13. She was a member of Latter Glory of Dimmitt. She enjoyed flowers, being outdoors, she loved her children and her granddaughter but most of all she loved her Lord, she enjoyed sharing her testimony and her love for Christ, she was truly a servant of God, she loved life. Jeremiah 29:11 She is survived by her husband Gene Penney of Dimmitt; 3 sons Michael Penney and his wife Leanne of Canyon; Layne Penney and Caleb Penney both of Tulsa, OK. And 1 daughter Meleah Penney of Dimmitt; her father Paul Weaver of Dimmitt; 1 granddaughter Mikayla Penney of Canyon; 2 brothers Larry Weaver of Dimmitt and Randy Weaver of Plainview; a brother-in-law Marvin Penney of Lubbock and a niece Heather Weaver of Rapid City, South Dakota.
