Manuel Espinoza-Salas, 80, of Edmonson, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, from Greeley, Colorado. He was born on December 23, 1944, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Pablo Espinoza and Margarita Salas. On February 14, 1968, in St. Ignacio Mexico, Manuel married the true love of his life, Maria Marta Pichardo.

Manuel was a very stern man, but he showed his love by working hard to provide for his family. What we remember, in terms of his sacrifice for his family, was that he walked the entire way from Ciudad Juarez to the little town of Hart, Texas where we grew up. He made sure that we always had food on the table and a roof over our head. While he never showed much outward affection, he did take care of all 5 of his kids. Manuel was also a very picky eater who only enjoyed our mom's cooking.

Manuel is survived by his 5 children, Lolo (Guadalupe) Espinoza of Plainview, Texas, Manuel Espinoza Jr. of Colorado, Estela Cazares of Amarillo, Texas, Eva (Adam) Sepeda of Wolforth, Texas, and Pablo Espinoza of Colorado; 15 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 8 siblings; and a large loving extended family.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria Marta Pichardo; his parents; 2 sisters; 1 brother; and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Hart, Texas with Reverend David Contreras as celebrant. Burial to follow at Hart Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. A Rosary/Vigil Service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 5:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home in Dimmitt, Texas.
