Manuela Rodriguez, 94, of Hart, passed away on March 6, 2011 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Johns Catholic Church in Hart, TX on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 2:00PM with Rev. Lupe Mayorga officiating. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited on Wed. at 7:30PM in the church. Manuela was born on Aug. 14, 1916 to the parents of Gilberto and Rodriga Maruffo in San Vicente, TX. She moved to Hart in 1953 from Alpine, TX. She married Tomas Rodriguez on April 25, 1933. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Hart and was a member and a founder of the Guadalupana Organization. She was very active within her church. She is survived by six sons, Danny Rodriguez of Hart, Cruz Rodriguez of Tulia, Santiago Rodriguez of Alpine, Felix Rodriguez, Micky Rodriguez, and Gilbert Rodriguez all of Amarillo, five daughters Gloria Diaz of Hart, Rose Jones of Pampa, Barbara Navarro of Canyon, Tina Howard and Alice Hernandez both of Amarillo, one brother Pilar Maruffo of Amarillo. Thirty-eight grandchildren, seventy-one great grandchildren, seventy-two great-great grandchildren and four great-great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Tomas Rodriguez, one son Honorio (Rod) Rodriguez, two sisters Petra Aguilar and Juanita Maruffo and one brother Edwardo Maruffo.
