Margaret Ann Brockman, 84, of Nazareth, Texas passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 in Dimmitt. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth with Rev. Ken Keller and Deacon Bob Birkenfeld officiating with burial to follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary to be at 4:00 PM on Monday and vigil at 7:00PM at the church. Margaret Ann was born March 29, 1931 near Nazareth to Louie and Elma Schacher. She married Jerome Brockman on April 24, 1950 in Nazareth. Prior to the onset of Parkinson's Disease, Margaret Ann was a dedicated homemaker and taught her children well. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and needlework, painting and crafts. She was always busy helping on the farm as harvest truck driver, following her children's activities, and helping with community activities. She was involved in the community with Christian Mothers, German Sausage Festival, and Christmas Pageant. Margaret Ann managed the Holy Family Gift Shop for over 20 years. She spent two summers working with teenagers at the school, painting. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jerome Brockman of Nazareth; sons, Jim and his wife Kathleen of Hereford; Joe and his wife Margie, of Bulverde; Paul of Canyon; and Ken and his wife Mary of Mesa, AZ; and daughters Geri Russell and her husband Ron of Canyon; Kathy Yarbrough and her husband Calvin of Fredericksburg; and Teresa Sewell and her husband Kelly of Midland; a sister Elsie Schilling and her husband Ronnie of Slaton. 18 grandchildren, Robert, Libby (Brockman) Matthews, Chris and Brian Brockman; Kyle, Tyson and Matthew Russell; Amy (Yarbrough) Mullins and Chad Yarbrough; Ryan, Cavan and Tyler Brockman; Natalie and Kate Brockman; and Evan, Ian, Oran and Upton Sewell. She had 8 great grandchildren, Garrett, Connor, Maddox Russell; Mick Russell; Ava Mullins; Silas Smith; Andrew and Colin Matthews. She also had 50 nieces and nephews, some who are deceased. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Michael Schacher. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials can be made to the Castro County Nursing and Rehab to the resident activity department, 1621 Butler Blvd., Dimmitt, Texas 79027
