Margaret Frances Frazier, 99, of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, in Dimmitt. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Dimmitt, Texas, with Dr. Jonathan Sullivan officiating. Burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. Viewing will be on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 3:00 – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.

Margaret Frances Frazier was born in Paducah, Texas, on February 14, 1924, to Floyd and Annie Ivey. In the mid-1930s, the family moved to Flagg, Texas, where Frances met a little red-haired kid named Alvin Frazier. Alvin and Frances went to school together in Flagg, and then in Dimmitt when the Flagg schools closed. They were married in 1943, in Dimmitt. One of the many things Frances is known for is her piano playing. She learned at 10 years old to play the piano, on a piano her father bought for $25.00. She was honored to be the pianist at Lee Street Baptist Church for many years, while Alvin led the singing.

In 1956, Frances went to the "University of Cosmetology" as she called it, since this was much more impressive than "Beauty School". She finished school and returned to Dimmitt to begin working. Around 1963, Alvin and Frances purchased a dry-cleaning business, and moved to Dimmitt from the "Country". Eventually, they built Alvin's Drive-In Cleaners, with a beauty salon attached for Frances. Frances was also known for her beautiful acrylic paintings. She shared her talent and taught painting classes in Dimmitt for many years.

Alvin and Frances had three children, Kenneth Landol Frazier, Jerry Alvin Frazier, and Cara Nell (Frazier) Dearing.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Frazier, her son, Landol Frazier, and her daughter, Cara Dearing.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Frazier of Dimmitt, a brother, Alvie Ivey and his wife Kathy of Lubbock, a son-in-law, Larry Dearing of Hereford, Texas; five grandchildren, Kendra Holder and her husband Kevin of Northlake, Texas, Traci Bear and her husband Jason of Haslet, Texas, Charity Galan of Lubbock, Texas, Ryan Dearing and his wife Jenny of Dripping Springs, Texas, and Tanner Dearing and his wife Stacy of Amarillo, Texas; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Charity, her granddaughter, states, "One of my greatest memories of my grandmother is sitting around the piano, with family, singing and praising our God. And now she is in heaven, praising our Savior with all the angels and saints. One of the greatest gifts she passed down to our family was the love of music, but most of all love of family."
