Margarita Rodriguez, 92, of Bovina, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 in Bovina. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 10:00AM in The Church of God of the First Born with Pastor Jessie Ramirez officiating. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Prayer Service will be held on Friday evening from 6:00PM – 8:00PM in the church located at 603 E. Halsell St. Dimmitt, Texas 79027.
Margarita Rodriguez was born on March 9, 1926 in Karnes, Texas to Bernardo Cervantes and Francisca (Rodriguez) Cervantes. Margarita was a homemaker who worked hard raising who her children. She always prayed for her family, she enjoyed helping others and spending time giving her testimony to the Lord. She was a very spiritual lady who showed so much love and appreciation for God. She showed her family about eternal life and the spiritual path to take. She loved roses, playing Bingo and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was loved and will be dearly missed.
Margarita is survived by her children, Jose Luis Rodriguez and wife Maria of Bovina, Rolando Rodriguez and wife Cleo of Clovis, NM, Ray Rodriguez and wife Billy of Littlefield, Abraham Gomez, Enedelia Ramirez and husband Jessie of Dimmitt, Alicia Lara and husband Jaime of Bovina and Adela Estraca of Clovis, NM, 53 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Margarita is preceded in death by her husband, Moises Rodriguez, 2 daughters, Mary Garcia and Linda Rodriguez.
