Marguet Bland, 88, of Dimmitt, passed away on April 12, 2011 in Lubbock, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:00AM in the Lee Street Baptist Church in Dimmitt with Bobby Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Marguet was born on January 29, 1923 in Vera, TX to James and Myrtle Kuykendall. She grew up in Vera, TX and attended school there. She married Holden Bland. She worked for Parsons Drug in Dimmitt for over 20 years and was a homemaker. She is survived by 2 sons, Perry Lee Bland and wife Margaret of Little Elm, TX and Holden E. Bland of Lubbock, TX, 2 daughters, Lanell Hanson of Dimmitt, TX and Norma Jean Bland of Justin, TX, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grand children and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Holden Bland, 1 daughter, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Memorials may be made to Palliative Care, 3615 19th St., Lubbock, TX 79410
