Maria A. Camacho "Flor", 68, of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father David Contreras, Deacon John Nino, and Deacon Richard Martinez officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 5:00 -7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with a Rosary/Vigil Service beginning at 6:00 P.M .

Maria was born in Dimmitt, Texas, to Jose and Celia (Reyes) Alvarez on December 24, 1954. She was a lifelong resident of Dimmitt, Texas. Maria was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was very hardworking, she loved her grandkids dearly, and loved to enjoy her time with family cooking, she was a great cook and enjoyed her time in the kitchen. Maria enjoyed Spanish music, singing, and dancing. She loved to play bingo and going to garage sales. Maria enjoyed hanging out with her siblings. Maria and Raul Married after 30 years on May 15th, 2015, in Dimmitt, Texas, at their home.

Maria is preceded by her parents, Jose and Celia (Reyes) Alvarez her siblings, Armando Alvarez, Maria Oviedo, Ruben Alvarez, Juan Jose Alvarez

Those to cherish her memories are her loving husband, Raul Camacho; her children, Luis Castillo and his wife Laureen of Tulia, Texas, Benjamin Alvarez Castillo, Joshua G. Castillo and his wife Apolonia all of Dimmitt, Texas, Jacob Castillo and his wife Stephanie of Amarillo, Texas, Raul Arath Camacho of Dimmitt, Texas; her siblings, Anna Marie Alvarez of Mascot, Florida, San Juana Moreno of Amarillo, Texas, Librado Alvarez of Dimmitt, Texas, Isabel Alvarez of Dimmitt, Texas, Frank and his wife Mary Alvarez of Plainview, Texas, Joe and his wife Lisa Alvarez of Dimmitt, Texas, Martin and his wife Christina Alvarez of Waxahachie, Texas; twenty grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Maria will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.

La misa de entierro cristiano se llevará a cabo el viernes 15 de septiembre de 2023 en la Iglesia Católica de la Inmaculada Concepción con el padre David Contreras, el diácono John Nino y el diácono Richard Martínez oficiando. María nació en Dimmitt, Texas, hija de José y Celia (Reyes) Álvarez el 24 de diciembre de 1954. Ella fue una residente de toda la vida de Dimmitt, Texas. María era miembro de la Iglesia Católica de la Inmaculada Concepción. Era muy trabajadora, amaba mucho a sus nietos y le encantaba disfrutar de su tiempo con la cocina familiar, era una gran cocinera y disfrutaba de su tiempo en la cocina. María disfrutaba de la música española, el canto y el baile. Le encantaba jugar bingo e ir a las ventas de garaje. A María le gustaba salir con sus hermanos. María y Raúl se casaron después de 30 años el 15 de mayo de 2015, en Dimmitt, Texas, en su casa.
