Maria Emma Castillo's Obituary
Maria Emma Castillo, 83, of Earth, Texas passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Lubbock, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 10:00AM in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Arockiaraj Malapady, Deacon John Niño and Deacon Richard Martinez as celebrants. Burial will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 5:00PM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.
Maria was born on January 1, 1936 in Lyford, Texas to Teodoro Candanoza and Zenaida (Rodriguez) Candanoza. Maria grew up in Lyford, Texas and then married Celestino Castillo and they lived in Earth, Texas for many years. She was a homemaker while raising her family. Maria enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking for her family, working in her yard, dancing and listening to music. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.
Maria is survived by 2 daughters, Janie Castillo and husband Martin of Dimmitt, TX and Elva Garcia and husband Ricardo of Lamesa, TX, 2 sisters, Lenore Castillo of Borger, TX and Lidia DeLion of Donna, TX, 9 grandchildren, Martha Ibarra, Martin Castillo, Jr., Mario Castillo, Mark Castillo, Jessica Castillo, Ricky Joe Garcia, Abbie Aleman, Vanessa Garcia and Randy Garcia.
Maria is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Celestino Castillo along with 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
