A life beautifully lived, filled with love, compassion, and countless memories, came to a peaceful
end on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Chata, as she was lovingly known, is now rejoicing in the
Lord's presence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm at
Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father David Contreras and Deacon John Nino
and Richard Martinez officiating. A burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Cemetery. Funeral
services have been entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. A family and friend visitation
will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 5:00-7:00 pm, with the rosary being recited at 6:00
pm at the funeral home.

Chata was born in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico on June 13, 1938, to Lola S. Torres and
Adolfo Loredo. She migrated to the United States at an early age. She eventually moved to
Dimmitt, making it home and becoming a long-time resident. She met the love of her life Jose
Luis Rosado in Dimmitt at a dance. Jose Luis fell in love with Chata and asked for her hand in
marriage in 1963. They were married at the old Immaculate Conception Church in Dimmitt by
Father Raphael Chen on August 1, 1965. Together they raised a beautiful, loving family with
their three daughters.

Chata was a devoted wife, Mami and Wela who always stood by her husband and children's
side. She will forever be remembered as the best gift from God. Chata always made sure her
family was well-taken care of, and she did it with so much love and care. She enjoyed cooking
everyone's favorite meal. She made many sacrifices for her family, and they will treasure her
loving spirit for eternity.

Chata's other passion was sewing. Not only did she sew beautiful dresses and clothing for her
girls, but also clothes for the women in the community. On several occasions, she sewed 14
dresses for the damas in Quinceañera events. She was incredibly sad when she had to give up
sewing when her health declined. Chata also enjoyed watching her telenovelas and the drama
television series La Rosa de Guadalupe.

Her faith in our Lord was very great. It was her faith that helped her in her struggles with her
illnesses. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Those left to carry on her legacy are her loving husband of 58 years, Jose Luis Rosado of
Dimmitt, Texas; her loving daughters, Maria De Lourdes Vasquez and husband Gregg of
Levelland, Texas, Maria Del Rosario Castaneda, Nora Lara and her husband Nicolas all of
Dimmitt, Texas; her caring grandchildren, Jonathan Rey Castaneda, Alexis Nicole Castaneda,
Nicolas Lara Jr., Tristan Antonio Vasquez, Daniel Isaiah Lara, Felicia Desiree Vasquez; her
great-grandchildren, Mikaeyla, Johnny Rey, Elijah, and Dakoda.
Those preceding her in passing are her parents, Adolfo Loredo, Lola Salazar, and Hilario Torres;
her siblings, Jesus Loredo, Daniel Loredo, and her beloved Tia Priscilla (Alta Gracia) Salazar,
and her son-in-law Johnny Rey Castaneda.

The family would like to express their gratitude to her hospice nurses Ruby and Crystal for their
compassion and loving care. We would like to thank Mr. and Mrs. Torres and Chaplain Chris
Craig who visited her on several occasions for prayer. We would also like to thank the staff at
Plains Memorial for the kindness and compassion you showed for our mother in the last days of
her life.
