Maria Chavez De Rodriguez, 83 of Dimmitt, Texas, went to be with her savior on Friday,
August 6, 2021 at her residence. Mass will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at
10:30AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Arockiaraj Malapsady.
Cremation Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt,
Texas. Rosary/Vigil will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 6:00PM at the
funeral home.

Maria Chavez De Rodriguez was born May 8, 1938 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Jose
Chavez and Rosa Payan, she was united in marriage to Francisco Rodriguez-Prieto and to
this union Three sons and Five Daughters were born.

Maria was a homemaker her entire life raising eight children, she was known to be very
religious attending church regularly and enjoyed singing the songs at church. Her greatest
joy was loving and playing with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memories are her Eight Children, Francisco Rodriguez-Chavez
of Mexico, Rosa Ema Teran of Dimmitt, Maria Hortensia Rodriguez-Chavez of Dimmitt,
Domingo Rodriguez-Chavez of Dimmitt, Esequiel Rodriguez-Chavez of Dimmitt, Irma
Aracelly Flores of Dimmitt, Maria Magdoleno Hernandez of Dimmitt and
Conception Rodriguez-Chavez of Mexico. 23 Grandchildren and 43 Great Grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Francisco Rodriguez- Prieto and her parents.
