Maria "Mandy" Garibaldy, 79, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 10: 30 A.M. at Abundant Life Family Church in Dimmitt, with Pastor Tom Mullins officiating, burial to follow at Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Home. A viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, from 5:00 -7:00 P.M. at Abundant Life Family Church.

Maria was born on March 21, 1944, in Asherton, Texas, to Isabel and Josephine (Herrera) Martinez. She attended school in Dimmitt, Texas. Maria worked at Dairy Queen, cleaned houses, and was a loved bus driver for Dimmitt ISD; she lived in Dimmitt until 1985 before moving to Grand Prairie, Texas where she met the love of her life Luis Garibaldy, they married in 1988. She also worked for Walmart for twelve years, where she loved to shop. Luis and Maria then started their own business, striping parking lots, she was dedicated to the success of their business.

Maria was a member of Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas. She loved to shop, do her makeup, make flower arrangements, watch baseball, and most of all spend time with her grandchildren. She was crazy about her husband Luis and enjoyed going to dances and traveling to Mexico with him to visit his family.  Maria was a loving and caring woman, who would help anyone and everyone she could.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Luis Garibaldy of Grand Prairie, Texas; children, Rosie Suarez of Amarillo, Texas, Leroy Ramirez of Grand Prairie, Texas, Lisa Mick and her husband Eddie of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Lonnie Joe Ramirez of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Kevin Jackson, Amanda Medellin and her husband Rafael, Maricela Salinas, and Marcelo Salinas Jr. and his wife Monica Garcia; eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Santos Martinez and his wife Armandina of Chicago, Illinois, Mary Guzman and her husband Tommy of Dimmitt, Texas, Janie Martinez of Dimmitt, Texas, Johnny Joe Martinez of Dimmitt, Texas, and Rosie Cantu of Grand Prairie, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, son Tommy Ramirez, brother David Martinez, and sister Maria Davila.
