Marian Louise Durbin, 80, of Nazareth, TX passed away on December 2, 2013 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 2:00PM in Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. Ken Keller and Deacon Bob Birkenfeld as celebrants. Burial will follow in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral of Dimmitt. Rosary will be recited at 5:45PM and vigil service to follow in Holy Family Catholic Church on Wednesday. Marian was born on August 26, 1933 to George Schacher and Jeanette Woelfle Schacher in Nazareth. After graduating from Nazareth High School, she married Alphonse Ehly on November 10, 1953. Alphonse passed away on April 17, 1977. Marian later married Leo Durbin on May 12, 1979. They loved to play chicken-foot and visiting with family and friends. Marian is survived by her spouse, Leo Durbin of Nazareth, 3 sons, Arnold Ehly and wife Shawn of Tulia, Glenn Ehly and wife Jill of Nazareth, and Bruce Ehly and wife Peggy of Dimmitt, 2 sisters, Clara Cowell of Amarillo and Louise Russell of Plainview, 4 grandchildren, Chelsey Ehly of Lubbock, Evan Ehly of Tulia, Tyler Ehly of College Station and Sheena Ehly of Lubbock, 6 step-children and numerous step-grandchildren. Marian is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Grace Holly, and 2 brothers, Gregory and Steve Schacher.
