Marshall Monroe "Corky" Langford, 91, of Dimmitt, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Graveside service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. in West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Dimmitt with a  memorial service to follow at 11:00 A.M. in the First United Methodist Church with Coby Gilbreath and Rev. T.C. Broom officiating.  Arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt.  The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home.

Corky was born February 10, 1926 in Chico, Texas to John Albert and Lottie Cole Langford.  He served in the United States Navy from 1944-1949.  He married Daisy Hatch on June 8, 1951 in Plainview, Texas.  Corky has been a resident of Dimmitt since 1954.  He had a varied career as a farmer, rancher, business owner and trucker-the last of which he enjoyed well into his 80's.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dimmitt. He was a 32nd degree Mason.  He enjoyed travelling, high school basketball and was an avid Texas Rangers baseball fan, but most of all he loved his family.

Corky is survived by 4 sons, Gary Langford and wife Linda of Mt. Pleasant, TX, Larry Langford of Wichita, KS, Paul Langford and wife Cindy of Marshall, MI, and Karl Langford and wife Liz of Lubbock, TX, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Langford, his parents, 2 brothers, Karl Langford and Johnny Langford, 2 sisters, Abi Hampton and Marguerite Caldwell.
