Mary Maxine Myers, 87, of Dimmitt passed away on December 28, 2015 in Dimmitt. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 2:00PM with Rev. Randy Wilson officiating in Carey Cemetery in Carey, Texas with arrangements being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Public viewing will be held on Monday from 10:00AM – 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Mary Maxine was born in Carey, Texas to Lloyd H. Myers and Zula B. Farmer Myers. She was raised there and graduated from Carey High School. After graduation she attended West Texas State University where she graduated with an education degree. She taught elementary for many years in Adrian and Petersburg. She later attended Texas Woman's University in Denton and received her librarian certification and was the librarian in Dimmitt until her retirement. She enjoyed sewing and working jig-saw puzzles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dimmitt.

She is survived by one niece, three nephews and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
