Mary Ann (Schmucker) Schulte, 81, of Nazareth, Texas, went home to Jesus peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Friday, March 8, 2024.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth with Fr. Arokiaraj "Raj" Samala, Deacon Bob Birkenfeld and Deacon Joe Hochstein as celebrants. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt. Rosary/Vigil services are scheduled for Friday, March 15, 2024, at 7:00 PM at Holy Family Church in Nazareth.
Mary Ann was born in Nazareth on December 28, 1942, to Joe and Amy (Gerber) Schmucker.  Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Amy Schmucker, sister, Beatrice Hoelting, brother, Jim Schmucker, brother Dan & sister-in-law Ethel Schmucker all of Nazareth, and brother Gene Schmucker of Sanger, TX.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Acker and husband Rex of Canyon and two grandchildren Michayla and Camille. She is also survived by one brother, Ray Schmucker and wife Mary Lou of Nazareth; and sister Janet Schmucker of Nazareth and Sister in-laws Michelle Schmucker of Sanger, TX and Bobbie Schmucker of Nazareth.
Mary Ann was a lifelong member of Holy Family Parish and a simple servant of Our Heavenly Father as she always was concerned for others before herself.
Mary Ann worked for Wilber Ellis for 35+ years before retiring in 2013.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Mary Ann. She loved spending time with family and friends and enjoying a lot of laughs or a quiet time at home watching her favorite TV Show NCIS or Law and Order Special Victims Unit.
Mary Ann loved spending time with her granddaughters for the last 27 years, truly delighting in them every visit. They could always look forward to popsicles or ice cream when visiting Nana's house. Some of our favorite memories with her were at her favorite holidays of Easter and Christmas.
Mary Ann had a faithful companion for the last 14 years, her dog Sofie, which passed a week before her.
