Mary Thacker, formally of Dallas, Texas passed away and entered heaven's gates on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Dimmitt, Texas.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10:00AM at Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt with Rev. Warren Nathaniel Edwards, Rev. Leo Brown, and Minister Barbara Lee officiating.
Mary (Sherman) Thacker was born on December 30, 1956, in Blooming Grove, Texas to Ardell Sherman and Beulah Brown.  Mary lived most of her life in Dallas and worked for Baylor Scott and White for many years before her retirement.  Mary enjoyed her plants and listening to music.  But most of all she loved her family and spending time with them.
Mary is survived by a son, Trevaun Neal, of Dallas, brothers, Eddie Sherman of Dimmitt, Aaron Sherman, Alphonzo Sherman, and Ardell Sherman, Jr. all of Dallas, sisters, Claudia King of Dallas, Sharonda Sherman of Dallas, Cassie Davis, Leslie Neal, Stacy Chavers, Tracy Chavers, Jeanette Hutson, and Johnnie Haley Edwards all of Arizona along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Thacker, her parents, Ardell and Beulah Sherman, brother, Johnny Sherman, and sister, Melba Burrell.
