Miguel Ortega, 29, of Hereford, Texas passed away on January 19, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas. Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 2:00PM in The Church of God of The First Born in Dimmitt, Texas located at 603 E. Halsell, Dimmitt, Texas with Pastor Jesse Ramirez officiating with burial following in Castro Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the care of Colonial Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 6:00PM in the church.
Miguel Ortega was born on May 25, 1989 in Amarillo, Texas to Jose De Jesus Ortega and Diana Torres. Miguel grew up in Dimmitt, Texas and attended Dimmitt schools. Later he became a resident of Hereford, Texas and attended Frio Baptist Church. He worked as a truck driver in the agriculture industry with Nutrien Ag Solutions. Miguel's dream one day was to own his own trucking business. He enjoyed outdoor grilling, travelling, working on cars but most of all he loved his family and being able to spend quality time with them.
Those left to cherish his memories are his spouse, Diana Villalobos of Hereford, TX, his mother, Diana Torres of Dimmitt, TX, children, Jose Javier Ortega, Areli Emma Ortega and Fabiola Yasmin Ortega, all of Hereford, TX, 1 brother, Armando Ortega of Amarillo, TX, 3 sisters, Gracie Ortega, Cynthia Rachel Gutierrez and Anaissa Daniela Avila all of Dimmitt, TX, grandparents, Lorenzo and Ophelia Garcia of Odom, TX, grandfather, Tommy Torres of Dimmitt, TX and grandmother, Juanita Cervantez Ortega of Tijuana, Mexico along with 2 uncles, Humberto Ortega of Sunnyside, TX and Efrian Ortega of Corpus Christi, TX and 1 aunt, Gracelia Ortega of Delicias, Mexico.
