Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Sept. 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church in Dimmitt with the Rev. Arturo Rodriguez officiating. Rosary will be Sunday evening at the funeral home at 6:00 PM. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Funeral Home of Dimmitt, Texas. Mini was born September 5, 1954 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Hector and Elvida Marquez. She married Nivardo Chaparro on December 25, 1974 in Mexico. She has been a resident of Dimmitt for seven years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception of Mary Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband Nivardo Chaparro of Dimmitt; a son Renato Chaparro of Albuquerque, N.M., two daughters Deyanira Prieto and Melinda Chaparro both of Dimmitt. Her mother Elvida Marquez of Dimmitt, two brothers Joel and Ismael Marquez and two sisters Patricia Torres and Blanca Nino all of Dimmitt. Three grandchildren She is preceded in death by her father Hector Marquez.
